Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance in Michigan seeks a motivated Unit Specialist to join our team. After in-person training, this role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week under a merit-based program.

You will interact with policyholders, claimants, agents and departments; enter documents; maintain policy files; and assist with reports. A high school diploma and strong communication are preferred. Auto-Owners offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or its equivalent is preferred.
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Organize and interpret data.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents and other departments through verbal and/or written correspondence.
• Enter assigned source documents accurately.
• Interpret and apply verbal and/or written instructions, manuals, and policies.
• Maintain records and policy files according to guidelines.
• Assist in developing reports or requests for reports.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request.
