Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance seeks an entry-level Underwriting Policy Support professional to join the team. The role offers merit-based work-from-home flexibility after initial in-person training, with up to 3 days per week remote.

You will communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents and internal teams, perform complex processing, verify information for new business, and manage underwriting inspections within the electronic workflow.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or substantial processing/underwriting knowledge is required.
• Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Organize and interpret data.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents and other departments in writing or verbally.
• Perform complex processing tasks within underwriting.
• Verify underwriting information is available on new business.
• Organize new business into the electronic workflow system.
• Review routine renewal endorsement work and route to underwriting as needed.
• Order, review and prepare inspections for underwriting.
