Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Company is seeking an underwriting assistant to support our field marketing representatives with new business, policy processing, and agency service from our Fairfield, Ohio headquarters.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, with associate or bachelor’s degrees preferred. An AINS designation is preferred and encouraged to complete within three years of hire. Strong attention to detail and customer service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

• Experience in insurance, financial services, banking or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support field marketing representatives through new business and policy issuance.
• Enter and maintain accurate policy, exposure, and risk information in underwriting systems.
• Review applications and documents to ensure underwriting requirements are met.
• Handle administrative underwriting tasks before and after coverage is approved.
• Communicate with agents/brokers by phone and email to obtain missing information.
• Monitor workflows and assist in quoting, binding, and issuance processes.
