Career Legal is seeking a Litigation Attorney for its Los Angeles office to join a national litigation practice focused on insurance subrogation. The role requires 3+ years of civil litigation experience and an active California license to practice law.

You will handle complex subrogation matters, manage cases through all stages, draft pleadings, and collaborate with experienced litigators and experts to develop effective strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Handle complex civil litigation matters in California state courts.
• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
• Attend court hearings, argue motions, and participate in courtroom proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Work alongside experienced litigators, technical experts, and other professionals to develop effective case strategies.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and recovery opportunities in insurance subrogation matters.
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues throughout the litigation process.
• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, including experience practicing in California courts.
• Demonstrable courtroom experience, including appearances at hearings and involvement in contested litigation matters.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, discovery, and motion practice.
• Excellent legal research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage litigation matters with a high degree of independence.
• Must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the firm's Los Angeles office and able to attend the office as required.
• Insurance subrogation or recovery litigation.
• Property damage, construction defect, product liability, or negligence claims.
• Plaintiff-side civil litigation involving complex liability or damages disputes.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing substantive motions, or participating in trials.
