Job summary

Jobot in the United States is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our team in Irvine, CA or Texas (Dallas/Houston). You will manage an active caseload in insurance defense, coverage analysis, and high-stakes subrogation recovery, partnering with industry-leading experts to advocate for clients in state and federal courts.

The position requires a Juris Doctor, active Bar in CA and/or TX, and 5–10+ years of civil litigation experience.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active California and/or Texas Bar admission in good standing.
• 5–10+ years of civil litigation experience; background in insurance defense, coverage, or related litigation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Case Management: handle a robust litigation docket from investigation through discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Court appearances and depositions: take/defend depositions, motion practice, hearings, and settlement conferences.
• Legal writing: draft motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Client & expert collaboration: work with insurance carriers, claims adjusters, and experts to build strong liability and damages cases.
• Coverage analysis: review policies to evaluate coverage and subrogation potential.
