Job summary

Infinium, Sacramento-based, seeks a Director of Insurance to design and lead its global risk transfer program. Reporting to the CFO, you will steer insurance strategy, placement, and cost management across complex lines, including property, casualty, cyber, environmental, and professional coverages.

You will partner with Operations, EHS, Legal, and Finance to assess exposures, drive loss-control programs, and optimize risk transfer structures, including captives and SIRs, while guiding budget

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate risk management or insurance brokerage.
• Experience with property/casualty lines including CGL, excess/umbrella, auto, and workers’ compensation.
• Experience negotiating with carriers and brokers on complex, layered/excess programs.
• Knowledge of self-insurance, captive structures, and alternative risk transfer mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design, negotiate, and manage the company’s annual insurance renewal strategy across all lines.
• Lead broker/carrier selection, RFP processes, and competitive bid strategy.
• Oversee claims administration, reserve accuracy, and post-loss reviews.
• Own the enterprise insurance budget and TCOR reporting to executives.
• Review insurance requirements in contracts and ensure COIs/AI terms are met.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, EHS, Construction, IT/Data Center Ops, and Manufacturing leadership.
