Job summary

Donegal Insurance Group seeks an experienced SIU Manager to lead the Special Investigations Unit within the Claims team. You will direct investigators, manage complex claim investigations, and guide resolution decisions with emphasis on fraud referrals and investigative excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, investigative judgment, and collaboration with Claims leadership to support effective resolutions and risk mitigation. This is an office-based position with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Insurance or Insurance related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of law enforcement or SIU investigative experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or specialized training.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Experience conducting open source social media investigations preferred.
• Data analysis/Investigative Analyst experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
• Combination of education and investigative experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and provide direction to a staff of SIU investigators, including assigning and monitoring investigative activities.
• Oversee the investigation and handling of claim files requiring specialized investigative services.
• Review investigative findings and provide guidance and recommendations to Claims personnel regarding claim resolution and potential fraud referrals.
• Partner with Claims leadership and department personnel to provide investigative guidance and support in the resolution of complex claims.
• Develop and deliver trainings for Claims Department personnel in fraud awareness, detection, investigation, and referral procedures.
