Job summary

Donegal Insurance Group is seeking a SIU Desk Investigator to join the Special Investigation Unit. You will oversee handling of claims and provide investigative support requiring special skills, with some travel and pre-surveillance assessments.

The role emphasizes interviews, statements, and extensive open source social media work to aid the claims process. The position is physically based in the Marietta, PA office with a transition to hybrid scheduling after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3–5 years of Insurance Fraud or related experience.
• Law enforcement investigation experience preferred.
• Experience conducting open source social media investigations preferred.
• Data analysis/investigative analysis experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Excel, Access and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims involving potential or suspected fraudulent activities.
• Conduct comprehensive database inquiries to assist the Claim Department in resolving claims.
• Conduct extensive open source social media investigations and generate comprehensive reports.
• Assist in designated assignments related to Company anti-fraud initiatives.
• Establish professional relationships with attorneys, corporate employees, and agencies.
• Assist in training Claim Department personnel in fraud detection and investigation.
