Job summary

Allied Universal Compliance and Investigation Services is hiring a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator to independently investigate fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverage areas. The role requires a strong background in fraud investigations, SIU compliance knowledge, and ability to coordinate with clients, case managers, and law enforcement.

Responsibilities include documenting investigations, producing professional reports, and maintaining thorough case records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or five years of demonstrated professional law enforcement experience with focus on fraud investigations.
• Valid Private Investigator license as required by the state of work.
• Minimum five years of experience conducting complex insurance investigations or adjusting complex insurance claims.
• Proficient understanding of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations, and compliance standards in the home state/region.
• Proficient with laptops and cell phones; ability to type 40+ words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across workers' compensation, general liability, property and casualty, and disability.
• Gather information through interviews, data collection, and coordination with clients, case managers, law enforcement, and state departments of insurance.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, file reviews, audits, and training tasks.
• Produce professional reports, memos, and letters that are clear and concise.
• Run database indices as needed and verify the accuracy of results.
• Develop a strategic plan to achieve assignment objectives and communicate with clients and the SIU Supervisor.
