Job summary

Mercy is looking for an Insurance Services Representative I to manage insurance receivables, including unpaid, denied and underpaid claims, with accuracy and efficiency. You will communicate clearly and support high-volume processing within Mercy's service framework.

Ideal candidates bring EPIC Resolute hospital billing or ambulatory billing experience and strong Excel/Word skills, along with a customer-focused mindset to assist patients and providers.

Qualifications

• HS degree or equivalent required.
• Proficient with basic Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience with EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and resolve outstanding insurance receivables, including unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims.

Insurance Services Representative I is responsible for collection and resolution of outstanding insurance receivables including but not limited to unpaid, denied and underpaid claims. Insurance service representatives must communicate effectively, while accurately and efficiently handling high claim volume. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education: HS Degree or Equivalent
• Other Skills and Knowledge: Computer and keyboarding skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Education: HS Degree or Equivalent

Experience:

• Prior EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing or Ambulatory experience

Prior Revenue Cycle

• Healthcare billing or insurance

Other Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge
• Communication and customer service skills
