We’re looking for a motivated, personable professional who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and finding solutions that fit each customer’s unique needs. As an Insurance Sales Producer, you’ll connect with prospective and existing clients, learn about their insurance needs, educate them on available coverage options, and help them make informed decisions about their protection.
Success in this role comes from strong communication, consistent follow-up, a willingness to learn, and a drive to achieve both personal and team goals. We’re looking for someone who is confident, coachable, competitive, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
Previous insurance experience is a plus, but it’s not required. We welcome individuals with experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or other relationship-focused positions who are ready to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Build your pipeline: Connect with prospective customers through inbound leads, outbound calls, referrals, networking, digital opportunities, and agency marketing efforts.
- Build relationships: Develop genuine, professional relationships with new and existing customers while becoming a trusted resource for their insurance needs.
- Discover customer needs: Ask thoughtful questions, understand each customer’s situation, and identify coverage solutions that align with their needs and goals.
- Quote and sell insurance: Provide personalized quotes and offer a range of insurance products, including Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, Life, and other available products.
- Find additional opportunities: Look for opportunities to protect more of the customer’s household by identifying additional coverage needs and potential gaps.
- Educate and simplify: Explain coverage options, deductibles, limits, discounts, and policy features in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
- Follow up consistently: Stay engaged with prospects throughout the sales process and make timely follow-up a key part of your success.
- Create a great customer experience: Respond to questions and concerns with professionalism, accuracy, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Stay organized: Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, follow-ups, and opportunities within the agency’s CRM and sales tools.
- Achieve your goals: Work toward individual activity, quote, premium, and policy production goals while contributing to the overall success of the agency.
- Continue developing your skills: Participate in team meetings, product training, coaching, sales practice, and role-playing designed to help you continuously improve.
- Generate new business: Ask for referrals, develop new relationships, and consistently look for opportunities to grow your book of business.
- Stay knowledgeable: Keep up with insurance products, coverage options, underwriting guidelines, discounts, and agency processes.
- Represent the agency professionally: Deliver a positive, knowledgeable, and customer-focused experience in every conversation and interaction.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- California P&C license preferred. If you’re not currently licensed, you must be willing and able to obtain a California Property & Casualty license within 30 days of employment.
- A Life & Health license is a plus, but not required.
- Previous experience in insurance, sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, telemarketing, or another customer-facing environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make insurance easy for customers to understand.
- Comfortable communicating with customers through phone, text, email, and in-person conversations.
- A natural ability to connect with people, build rapport, and establish trust.
- Strong listening, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Goal-oriented and driven, with an interest in achieving results and taking advantage of commission and incentive opportunities.
- Positive, professional, dependable, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Coachability matters: You’re open to feedback, training, role-playing, and continuously improving your sales skills.
- Comfortable addressing customer concerns, overcoming objections, and confidently asking for the business.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and consistently follow through.
- Able to work independently while also being a positive and collaborative member of the team.
- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn agency software, CRM systems, quoting platforms, and other technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
