Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Referral and Insurance Specialist to obtain authorizations, verify coverage, and schedule appointments for patients. You will manage billing inquiries, input patient data, and assist with billing questions to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires 2–3 years of related medical experience, strong communication, and attention to detail. Evening/weekend shifts may be required in a dynamic healthcare environment in Greenville.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a related medical field with experience processing referrals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations from insurance for referrals to physicians and facilities.
• Schedule testing or physician appointments for patients.
• Verify eligibility/coverage for referrals and testing by phone/fax/Internet.
• Enter charge and patient demographic information into the billing system accurately.
• Post payments and assist patients with billing questions and account balance resolution.
