Job summary

The Farmers Insurance Protégé Agent will support the agency's operations while gaining hands-on experience in the insurance field. This position is designed for individuals looking to start or continue their career in insurance, providing training and mentorship to develop skills in client management, sales, and policy administration.

After successfully completing the 6-12 month training program, the protege will be eligible for agency ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred; HS diploma acceptable.
• Valid Property & Casualty and/or Life, Health, and Accident license; willingness to obtain.
• Experience in insurance sales or related field with a proven sales record.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
• Establish and maintain client relationships; tailor solutions.
• Analyze client insurance requirements and recommend coverage options.
• Manage sales pipeline from prospecting to closing.
• Stay updated on industry trends to advise clients.
• Collaborate with underwriters to implement policies.
• Provide high level customer service and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain records of sales activities in agency management system.
• Participate in training sessions to learn products and regulations.
