Job summary

Sentry in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Direct Writer-Program Specialist to administer John Deere programs, service insureds, process requests, and coordinate monthly updates with John Deere. The role will be staffed at our Sentry Home Office in Stevens Point, WI following the hybrid work model.

This role is NOT available for remote work. You will handle underwriting tasks for new policies, renewals, changes and cancellations, maintain agent relationships, and prepare custom reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience in commercial insurance.
• P&C license required.
• Experience with office and business software; ability to create custom reports.
• Knowledge of Commercial Lines products and underwriting guidelines is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to interpret underwriting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer calls about coverage, quotes, policy changes, cancellations, loss run requests and billing questions.
• Maintain agent appointments, distribute agent materials and generate agent commission reports.
• Create, analyze & distribute statistical spreadsheets for John Deere programs.
• Reconcile and balance financials between John Deere Financial and Sentry for UltraGard and Floater programs.
• Complete underwriting tasks related to issuance of new policies, renewals, changes and cancellations.
• Attend trade shows/events and act as a point of contact for program processes.
