Job summary

Jobtailor in Arizona seeks an Insurance Customer Service Specialist to handle quotes, policy processing, and billing inquiries. You will be the first point of contact for calls, emails, and chats, supporting underwriting tasks and carrier processes.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of insurance workflows, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Eligible candidates may travel up to 5% and hold a Property and Casualty Producer License in their resident state.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook and Excel.
• Solid knowledge of insurance or brokerage customer service or policy processing processes, terms and procedures.
• Experience in customer service for insurance or brokerage products.
• Knowledge of state-specific regulations and system/procedural support for insurance or brokerage products.
• Knowledge of underwriting processing, servicing or billing guidelines.
• Experience using reference materials, reading policy language, and processing rules and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for calls, emails, and chats regarding quotes, binding support, inquiries, policies, and billing.
• Assist agents with carrier information and general processes.
• Prepare and release coverage and premium financing quotes.
• Process policy information, including issuance of certificates, per carrier specifications.
• Order inspections as requested.
• Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts.
• Develop standard work processes, mentor team members and provide project support.
• Complete other assignments or participate in projects based on skills and experience.
