Job summary

American Family Insurance Agency Staff is seeking an experienced service professional to act as the first point of contact for calls, emails, and chats, handling quotes, policy details, and billing inquiries. You will assist agents with carrier information and process coverage and financing quotes.

The role requires solid insurance knowledge, strong communication, and PC skills. This on-site position offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements and participate in project work.

Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Proficient with PC software applications (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Excel).
• Solid knowledge of insurance/brokerage customer service or policy processing.
• Experience in customer service for insurance or brokerage products.
• Knowledge of underwriting processing, servicing or billing guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for quotes, online binding support, market inquiries, service issues, policies and billing.
• Assist agents with carrier information and general processes.
• Prepare and release coverage and premium financing quotes.
• Process policy information including issuance of certificates.
• Order inspections as requested.
• Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts.
• Develop role-specific standard work and mentor teammates as needed.
• Take on additional tasks or projects based on skills and experience.
