Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Technical Assistant to join our team in a clerical and operations support role. Under the Business Operations Leader, you will help process workflow for the Northeast Support Team and provide essential administrative help across operations and underwriting functions.

You will interact with brokers and underwriters via Teams and email, respond to inquiries, and support policy servicing, accounting, and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with Brokers, Underwriters and Underwriter Assistants via Teams/email to respond to questions and resolve issues.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Operations and Underwriting Teams.
• Assist with policy servicing inquiries including accounting, underwriting and operations.
• Learn and work within Agency Management System to save documents, emails, and correspondence.
• Become familiar with Agency Management System reporting functionality and distribute reports.
• Answer questions about the organization's products and services to assist in customer service functions.
