Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Baltimore seeks an Insurance Navigator to educate patients on Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance options. The role coordinates applications, gathers documents, and supports indigent programs while interfacing with clinic staff.

The incumbent will travel to clinics in the region, verify insurance details, and support AR with accurate data. Bachelor's degree and healthcare/service experience required; valid driver's license is a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Social Work or other Healthcare focus preferred.
• 2-5 years' related experience; healthcare industry preferred.
• Experience with Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Educates and coordinates insurance options for dialysis patients in assigned clinics.
• Ensures patients complete applications and gather necessary documents.
• Tracks and verifies insurance status for Accounts Receivable and QA processes.
• Maintains up-to-date patient insurance information and assists indigent waivers.
