Blacklock Group is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its New York-based Insurance team. In a lean, entrepreneurial platform, you will gain exposure to senior decision-makers and play a key role in the execution of complex M&A and strategic advisory assignments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of investment banking experience with a strong background in M&A advisory and transaction execution.
• Prior experience within Insurance, FIG, Financial Services or a related sector is preferred.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• A sound understanding of transaction processes and corporate finance principles.
• Bachelor's degree from a leading institution; additional qualifications welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Building and reviewing detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
• Preparing merger models, DCF analyses, LBO models, comps and precedent valuations.
• Managing the execution process for live M&A, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions.
• Producing client presentations, information memoranda and board materials.
• Coordinating due diligence workstreams and liaising with counterparties and advisers.
• Conducting market research and analyzing trends across the insurance and financial services sectors.
• Supporting senior bankers in developing new business opportunities and client relationships.
• Providing guidance and oversight to junior team members to ensure high-quality work.
