Job summary

Blacklock Group, a leading middle-market private equity firm in New York, seeks an Associate to join the investment team. This generalist role offers exposure across a broad range of sectors and transaction types, with opportunities to work closely with senior professionals throughout the deal lifecycle, from sourcing to exit.

The successful candidate will conduct financial analysis, develop LBO models, and contribute to portfolio management and value creation while engaging with management

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or related field.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Experience on M&A, leveraged finance, or private equity transactions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated interest in private equity investing.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis, valuation work, and due diligence on prospective investments
• Build and maintain detailed financial and LBO models
• Prepare investment committee materials and transaction documentation
• Support deal execution with management teams, advisors, and financiers
• Monitor portfolio company performance and contribute to value creation
• Engage in industry research and market mapping
