Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Insurance Analyst in Houston, TX to support the insurance team with compliance reviews for agency, institutional, private client and high-profile borrowers. The role also covers flood determination, force placed insurance and insurance claims as needed.

Responsibilities include analyzing Commercial Insurance for lender compliance, assessing risk between lender and borrower, and reviewing loan documents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and memos, write routine reports, and respond to inquiries.
• Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and ability to calculate simple figures.
• Ability to follow general instructions, solve standard problems, and apply basic analytical skills.
• Intermediate skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of Commercial Insurance to ensure compliance with Lender requirements.
• Communicate and provide support in assessing risk between Lender and Borrower needs.
• Review Loan Closing Documents for insurance compliance at loan level.
• Collaborate with Insurer and Borrower to address deficiencies or missing coverage.
• Work with Loan Servicing team to resolve insurance related issues.
• Obtain insurance renewal documents and invoices from relevant parties.
• Utilize CBRE proprietary client systems to review insurance data and run reports.
• Assist in gathering insurance documentation for audits.
• Uphold CBRE RISE values and demonstrate excellence in work quality.
• Adhere to standardized procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Facilitate effective information exchange and mutual understanding within the team.
