Job summary

Lockton Companies in Houston, TX is seeking a Lender Review Consultant (Commercial Insurance Risk) to analyze insurance and lending documents, interpret exposure and coverage terms, and prepare detailed reports for Real Estate and Corporate Finance transactions.

The role requires multi-year insurance experience, an active P&C license, and strong analytical and communication skills. Occasional client visits and meetings are expected as part of day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Three to Five plus years of insurance experience.
• Two plus years as Lender Review Analyst or high-level client service experience.
• P&C Insurance License.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail required.
• High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations.
• Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision-making.
• Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by completing extended insurance education beyond licensing requirements.
• Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
• Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Stays current on industry issues by maintaining expertise in a functional area.
• Ability to work outside of regular business hours.
• Legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance, lending, corporate documents and contracts and lending requirements.
• Assess and interpret exposure information to meet lending requirements.
• Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure coverage for lending requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings, red flags, recommendations and coverages for Real Estate, Real Estate Construction and Corporate Finance transactions.
• Advise on coverage recommendations to clients, borrowers and outside brokers.
• Peer review junior-level associates’ reports as needed.
• Mentor and assist junior staff as needed.
• Attend and occasionally lead departmental meetings.
• Conduct coverage research and stay informed on industry trends.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction and service improvements.
• Occasional client site visits.
