Job summary

Hylant invites ambitious students to join its Summer Internship Program in Finance and Accounting. You will gain hands-on experience preparing reports, budgeting, and data analysis while working with leaders across offices nationwide.

You’ll engage in Excel modeling, market research, and collaborative projects with mentors, shadowing opportunities, and potential scholarship eligibility upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university
• Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Ability to work from one of Hylant’s office locations nationwide
• Availability to work May 18-August 13, 2027
• Interest in a long-term career in insurance
• extracurricular activities and/or part-time job recommended

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and forecasts (Finance)
• Support budgeting and variance analysis activities (Finance)
• Help consolidate financial data from different departments (Finance)
• Conduct research on market trends and financial benchmarks (Finance)
• Build and maintain Excel models for scenario planning (Finance)
• Participate in meetings to understand strategic financial decisions (Finance)
• Assist with journal entries and general ledger reconciliations (Accounting)
• Help prepare and review financial statements (Accounting)
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes (Accounting)
• Organize and maintain financial records and documentation (Accounting)
• Perform bank and account reconciliations (Accounting)
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance tasks (Accounting)
• Take on projects that support the team where necessary (Finance and Accounting)
• Work collaboratively with a team, mentored by Hylant leaders throughout the summer
