Job summary

Friedman Real Estate seeks an Insurance and Risk Manager to lead corporate insurance programs, ERM governance, and risk mitigation across a diverse real estate portfolio. You will coordinate with brokers, internal teams, and external partners to secure coverage, manage claims, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role supervises the Insurance Coordinator and drives risk-transfer strategies, incident reporting, and resilience initiatives across owned, managed, and receivership assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in corporate insurance, risk management, brokerage, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing commercial insurance programs and broker/carrier relationships.
• Experience leading enterprise risk management programs, assessments, or governance activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all corporate insurance programs, including property, liability, professional, and workers' compensation.
• Manage renewals, underwriting, claims management, policy compliance, and coverage placement.
• Lead ERM framework, governance, incident reporting, and risk mitigation activities.
• Supervise the Insurance Coordinator and oversee complex insurance analyses and negotiations.
• Partner with in-house legal, HR, and finance to align insurance with contracts, employees, and budgets.
• Support business continuity and organizational resilience initiatives.
