Job summary

Adams & Martin Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support a busy litigation team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of insurance defense experience and will assist attorneys handling a variety of civil defense matters, including auto liability and premises liability.

You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, analyze records, and coordinate trial preparation while maintaining meticulous case files and calendars in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of insurance defense paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of Georgia state and federal court procedures preferred.
• Experience handling litigation matters through trial preparation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume insurance defense litigation caseload from inception through trial.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Coordinate document collection, review, and production.
• Analyze medical records, billing records, and other case-related materials.
• Maintain case files and litigation calendars, including tracking deadlines.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Schedule depositions, hearings, independent medical examinations, and expert consultations.
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Prepare exhibits, witness files, summaries, and trial notebooks.
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Utilize case management and document management systems to organize and track litigation matters.
