Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Licensed and in good standing in Connecticut.
• Ability to practice in Connecticut State and Federal Courts.
• Experience with pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and hearings.
• Strong legal research, writing, organization, and case management skills.
• Experience with LexisNexis/Westlaw required.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with hourly billing/timekeeping required.
• Criminal defense experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense and general litigation matters throughout all phases of litigation.
• Draft and respond to complaints, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
• Handle discovery, including responding to and managing discovery requests.
• Attend and defend depositions as necessary.
