Confidential Employer is seeking an attorney to defend employers and insured clients in workers' compensation and liability disputes in McLean, VA. The role requires Virginia bar admission and solid experience in discovery, motions, and depositions, with opportunities to handle hearings and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia law license required.
• 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with workers' compensation and general or automobile liability defense.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Experience handling discovery, motions, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers, businesses, and insured clients in workers' compensation and liability disputes.
• Manage litigation matters involving automobile accidents, premises liability, and general liability claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and negotiate favorable resolutions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff while maintaining strong client relationships.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
