Orion Placement is seeking an experienced insurance defense attorney in McLean, VA to defend employers, businesses, and insured clients in workers' compensation and liability disputes. The role offers hybrid work flexibility after the first 90 days and requires availability for in-person meetings, court appearances, and hearings as needed.

Must be admitted to the Virginia bar and have 3+ years of defense experience in workers' compensation and liability defense, with a JD from an accredited law

• 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with workers' compensation and general or automobile liability defense.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Experience handling discovery, motions, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Strong legal writing, communication, and case management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Defend employers, businesses, and insured clients in workers' compensation and liability disputes.
• Manage litigation matters involving automobile accidents, premises liability, and general liability claims.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and negotiate favorable resolutions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff while maintaining strong client relationships.
