You will manage cases, draft pleadings and motions, research, and develop strategies while coordinating with clients and carriers. You will handle depositions, hearings, mediations, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with Texas rules and firm billing guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited law school with Texas bar admission in good standing.
• 2–3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and litigation practices.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills.
• Experience drafting substantive motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Manage an assigned caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Analyze policies, coverage issues, claim files, and applicable Texas law.
• Prepare case assessments, litigation budgets, and status reports for carriers.
• Conduct and defend depositions, participate in hearings, mediations, and settlements.
• Communicate with adjusters, clients, opposing counsel, and parties in litigation.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with court orders and deadlines; maintain billing records.
• Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and staff for efficient case management.
