Jobot, a well-known regional defense firm, seeks an attorney to manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from investigation through appeal. The role requires JD, a current state license, and at least one year of defense litigation experience, with strong research and writing abilities.

The attorney will conduct depositions, draft a range of legal documents, and provide informed counsel to clients on insurance defense matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law in the state.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance defense litigation with a proven track record.
• Proficient in conducting depositions and civil litigation.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation, from investigation, pleadings, discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
• Conduct extensive and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Take and defend depositions of parties and expert witnesses, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding all aspects of insurance defense law, ensuring they are fully informed and their rights are protected.
