Ascendion is seeking an Associate Attorney to join a regional insurance defense law firm in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience and a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, plus admission to the Massachusetts bar.

The responsibilities include managing a caseload from initial evaluation to resolution, researching legal issues, drafting pleadings and discovery requests, and handling depositions and witness preparation.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense or related fields.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings.
