Jobot is seeking a General Liability Defense Associate Attorney to join a growing insurance-defense platform with a hybrid work model across the Southeast. The role emphasizes meaningful case ownership and direct carrier interaction in a high-volume civil-defense practice.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, active state bar admission, and prior litigation experience. A strong research and writing background, plus the ability to manage multiple deadlines, is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the applicable state.
• Prior litigation experience preferred.
• Insurance defense or general liability experience strongly preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple matters.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active civil-litigation caseload.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Review medical records, damages materials, and expert reports.
• Develop defense strategy alongside partners and clients.
• Communicate directly with carriers and insured clients.
• Assist with trial preparation and take on increasing levels of case ownership.
