Job summary

Brand & Tapply LLC, a Massachusetts-based firm, seeks a full-time, Massachusetts-barred attorney to join its growing insurance defense practice in a hybrid role based in Wellesley, MA.

The successful candidate will develop practical litigation experience, collaborate with attorneys and clients nationwide, and manage matters through investigation to resolution in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Massachusetts State Bar admission in good standing.
• Prior litigation experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned matters from initial case assessment and investigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, pleadings, motions, memoranda and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, mediations, and EUOs where applicable.
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop effective case strategies.
• Assist with case preparation, including factual investigation, document review, and organization of case files.
• Make court appearances as required.
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff in a hybrid environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable court rules, professional obligations, deadlines, and client reporting requirements.
