Qualifications

• Superior oral communication skills, particularly the ability to listen, understand, and explain insurance information to policyholders and others.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and aptitude to formulate both routine and complex decisions.
• Outstanding listening skills and awareness to proactively determine caller needs and provide proper solutions to enhance first call resolution and complete customer satisfaction.
• Ability to manage high call volume and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating exceptional critical thinking skills.
• Ability to follow and retain instructions, work with little supervision, and maintain a harmonious attitude with both internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates timely, consistent job attendance history and availability to ensure proper coverage during assigned company work hours.
• General education emphasizing courses in keyboarding, math, and English as acquired through a college or vocational level course of study, or equivalent job-related experience.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• This position will provide a broad scope of services to internal and external customers of AmShield Insurance Company by answering inquiries from customers and third parties, recording claims and complaints in the appropriate management systems, answering basic claims questions and general customer inquiries.
• The position also requires the ability to develop close work relationships with other departments, including Underwriting, Claims, and administrative departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• This position must adhere closely to assigned work schedules and will focus on first contact resolution, primarily through phone channel.
