Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience in a specialized customer service environment.
• Two years' college coursework (at least 48 credit hours) plus one year experience in a specialized customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates in clear, concise business English with correct grammar and vocabulary; learns to explain complex insurance topics accessibly and asks questions to guide issue resolution.
• Interacts with customers (members, groups, providers) to resolve issues related to products, services, and health plans within policy guidelines such as HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Always conducts oneself professionally, addressing others with politeness and tact to reach fact-based conclusions and resolve.
• Becomes an expert on benefits and eligibility for health plans supported by multiple lines of business; knows where to find information for superior service.
