Orionplacement is seeking an attorney for a full-time, in-person role in Oakland focused on insurance coverage and commercial litigation. You will work directly with experienced attorneys on complex matters and build specialized expertise from day one.

The position offers substantive responsibilities from the start, including research, coverage analysis, contract review, and litigation support, with a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active California Bar admission.
• At least 2 years of relevant litigation or legal experience.
• Experience analyzing insurance coverage issues and reviewing contracts.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare coverage opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Analyze complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation issues.
• Review insurance policies, contracts, and related documentation.
• Assist with discovery, document review, case management, and litigation strategy.
• Prepare deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial materials.
• Synthesize large volumes of documents into concise legal analysis.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple assignments with deadlines and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with partners on sophisticated insurance coverage matters.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
