Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Irvine/Los Angeles/San Francisco seeks an Insurance Coverage Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel to join its Litigation team. The role focuses on complex coverage disputes for domestic and international insurers in a hybrid setup.

Candidate must have CA bar admission, 3+ years of substantive coverage litigation, and strong drafting/research skills. This is an urgent fill in a nationally recognized practice with mentorship and client exposure.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA‑accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Law Review and/or Honors required.
• Active Bar Admission in California in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations.
• Experience drafting litigation-related documents.
• Experience in depositions and mediations.
• Familiarity with bad faith/CGL/property/E&O/D&O matters.

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a skilled Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Insurance Coverage Practice Group. This growing practice handles complex, high-value coverage litigation and market conduct matters on behalf of both domestic and international insurers. The work includes commercial general liability, commercial property (including business interruption and environmental matters), errors and omissions claims involving attorneys, agents, and accountants, as well as directors' and officers' coverage.

Candidate Profile

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Law Review and/or Honorsrequired
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing (Will consider other bar admissions for seasoned candidates with extensive coverage experience)
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus oninsurance coveragematters
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations
• Demonstrated experience drafting litigation-related documents
• Experience participating in litigation proceedings, including depositions and mediations, among others
• Familiarity with some or all of the following: bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, commercial property, errors & omissions, and directors & officers
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

• Annual Salary: Expected annual base salary range of $160,000–$275,000, as determined by experience and market factors
