Qualified candidates have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, Colorado admission, 3+ years of defense litigation, and 1+ years in coverage litigation; strong writing and oral skills are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Colorado.
• At least 3 years of defense litigation.
• 1+ years of coverage/coverage litigation experience.
• Experience drafting coverage opinions in various insurance lines.
• Experience in third-party or first-party claims.
• Drafting discovery and pretrial motions required.
• Cross-examining witnesses preferred.
• Trial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Investigate claims and draft coverage opinion letters.
• Draft pleadings and motions in coverage litigation; handle discovery.
• Provide clients with insurance coverage advice.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
