Wilson Elser's Seattle office is seeking an Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Attorney to join a collaborative team. The role handles complex matters for domestic and international insurers across Washington and the U.S., with a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement.

Candidates should have JD, WA admission, 5+ years defense litigation, and 3+ years insurance coverage experience, plus strong writing and advocacy.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Washington.
• 5+ years of defense litigation experience.
• 3+ years in insurance coverage/coverage litigation.
• Experience drafting coverage opinions.
• Strong written and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery and pretrial motions.
• Trial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Investigate claims and prepare coverage opinion letters.
• Provide strategic coverage advice to clients on various insurance lines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver client service.
• Communicate updates and analysis of case developments to clients.
