Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, in its Property & Casualty Insurance practice in Miami, Florida. This role focuses on sophisticated insurance coverage disputes, including bad-faith matters, in a collaborative environment that prioritizes initiative, teamwork, and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record and strong writing skills.
• Active Florida Bar in good standing required.
• 3–6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Substantive experience handling bad-faith insurance matters.
• Understanding of insurance coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to responsiveness and client service.
• Federal or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurers and clients in complex insurance coverage litigation.
• Analyze policies, coverage issues, exclusions, and case law.
• Handle bad-faith claims and related disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials.
• Conduct legal research and prepare analyses regarding coverage and bad-faith issues.
• Manage matters efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Communicate with clients about case developments, strategy, and next steps.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, clients, and other professionals to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Contribute to a service-oriented team environment.
