Synectics Inc. seeks a paralegal with 3+ years of experience in Insurance Coverage Litigation to join our team, supporting attorneys throughout all stages of complex litigation in state and federal courts nationwide.

Responsibilities include case intake, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and post-trial matters. The role involves coordinating with witnesses, clients, and experts, plus fact investigation using Westlaw and Relativity-like platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of legal experience with litigation focus.
• Insurance coverage litigation experience is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with e-filing or document management is a plus.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

Job description

Our client is seeking a paralegal with 3+ years of experience in Insurance Coverage Litigation to join their team, supporting attorneys throughout all stages of complex litigation in state and federal courts nationwide.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support attorneys from case intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, post-trial matters, and appellate practice.
• Prepare, finalize, and file motions, discovery materials, agreements, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents in state and federal courts nationwide.
• Manage discovery, including subpoenas, witness coordination, depositions, discovery requests/responses, document review, production, privilege logs, and quality-control tasks using Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms.
• Conduct factual research and investigation using public records, court filings, case materials, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
• Maintain organized case files, calendars, litigation databases, and deadlines while communicating professionally with clients, experts, witnesses, vendors, court personnel, and other contacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation, insurance coverage, or a law firm environment.
• Strong ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and independent problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with e-filing, document management, legal research, or e-discovery platforms is a plus.
• Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential, privileged, and sensitive information; four-year college degree and paralegal certificate preferred.
