Job description

Nationally and regionally respected civil litigation firm with deep expertise in insurance and business-related legal defense is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in complex civil litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive paralegal support in complex civil litigation, including insurance defense, commercial litigation, professional liability, and mass tort matters
• Draft, review, and manage pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
• Coordinate and manage document production, including e-discovery platforms and document review
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness files, trial binders, and courtroom support
• Maintain case calendars and ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines, and filing requirements
• File documents in state and federal courts (including e-filing)
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and experts
• Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
• Support appellate matters, including record preparation and briefing assistance, when applicable

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ recent law firm litigation paralegal experience, with State court and Federal litigation experience.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Four-year Bachelor's degree and/or two-year ABA approved Paralegal certificate ideal but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite to include PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Pro.
