Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney – Litigation (CA) in a hybrid Irvine/LA/San Francisco setting. The role targets Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel with CA bar and 3+ years in insurance coverage litigation.

You'll analyze complex insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and collaborate with domestic and international insurers, handling depositions, mediations, and trials within a nationally recognized practice.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Law Review and/or Honors required.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage matters.
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies.
• Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience drafting litigation-related documents.
• Experience participating in litigation proceedings including depositions and mediations.
• Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, commercial property, errors & omissions, and directors & officers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision.
