Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking an Insurance Consultant to serve as a trusted guide for small business owners nationwide, guiding clients from initial contact to binding coverage.

You’ll join a collaborative team and may receive support to obtain a P&C license within your first 30 days. Prior licensing is a plus, but we’ll help you achieve it if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be willing to obtain P&C license; licensed candidates preferred.
• Proficient use of multiple computer systems and platforms.
• Strong work ethic; works well in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Field inbound sales calls from established strategic partners.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records on agency software of all communication.
• Provide customer-centric service to all agency clients.
• Provide accurate, appropriate answers to client questions regarding coverages, pricing, and insurance options.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with referral partners.
• Outbound sales calls to businesses referred to the agency.
• Handle special projects as assigned.

Join our team as an Insurance Consultant and become a trusted guide for small business owners across the country.

In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients referred to Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies, helping them navigate their commercial insurance needs from the initial conversation through to binding coverage. You’ll work closely with our valued strategic partners and enjoy a dynamic environment where flexibility and responsiveness are key. If you already hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) producer license, that’s a plus—but if not, don’t worry! We’ll support you in obtaining your license within your first 30 days.
