Job summary

Third Coast Bank seeks an experienced Insurance Portfolio Leader to oversee retail, commercial and flood insurance operations. You will ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, manage staff performance, and maintain operational integrity of the insurance group.

The role requires 8+ years in financial services insurance, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders while maintaining service excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing all categories of insurance in a financial services organization.
• Proficient and strong knowledge of Flood Insurance Regulations.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff in a team environment.
• Thorough knowledge of calculating required insurance amounts and protecting collateral.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bank’s overall insurance portfolio to ensure active and adequate policies.
• Obtain and track flood insurance coverages on loans in FEMA flood zones.
• Analyze and determine needed flood insurance amounts for new and renewal policies.
• Monitor evidence of insurance and manage force-placed insurance procedures.
• Track insurance in the core system and manage expirations for renewals.
• Support regulatory audits, OCC reviews and update procedures per federal changes.
• Maintain insurance documents and correspondence in the imaging system.
• Work independently to deliver superior service to internal partners and external vendors.
• Interact with relationship managers, loan closers and vendors on insurance matters.
