Job summary

Third Coast Bank is seeking an Insurance Team Lead in Humble, TX to oversee the bank’s retail, commercial and flood insurance portfolios. You will ensure policy alignment with federal and state regulations, drive staff performance, and maintain risk controls with strong QC/auditing practices.

The role requires senior-level expertise in flood insurance and related regulations, plus experience coordinating audits and cross-functional collaboration within a financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing all categories of insurance in a financial services organization.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop staff in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Flood Insurance Regulations.
• Proficient in reviewing insurance policies, declarations and mortgagee clauses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the bank’s retail, commercial and flood insurance portfolio and ensure active and adequate policies.
• Ensure operations align with policy, state and federal banking regulations and perform QC/auditing for compliance.
• Train, coach, motivate and manage performance of staff while maintaining a positive team atmosphere.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and update staff on changes to regulations and guidelines.
• Coordinate regulatory audits and exams (OCC) and support special insurance projects.
• Manage insurance tracking and document imaging in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Interact with RM’s, RA’s, Loan Closers and external vendors regularly.
• Work independently on day-to-day tasks and deliver superior service to internal and external partners.
