Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; insurance coursework or designations a plus.
• Minimum 4 years in property & casualty insurance, ideally in legal or compliance.
• Strong written and spoken communication with regulators.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and research abilities.
• Highly organized with ability to track deadlines and filings.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook; surplus lines experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain authority to do business in all states and assist with filings.
• Monitor regulatory changes using legal databases and resources.
• Communicate regulatory guidance clearly to staff and implement changes.
• Manage annual and periodic reports and eligibility filings with departments.
• Coordinate collection and reporting of surplus lines tax information.
• Respond to insurance department inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure property casualty forms meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in special projects and compliance initiatives.
