Job summary

Kinsale Insurance is seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst for our Richmond, VA headquarters. You will support regulatory and compliance functions across property and casualty insurance, monitor regulatory changes, and work with state regulators to ensure full compliance.

This on-site role offers growth alongside legal and compliance leaders in a fast-growing specialty insurer. You will manage filings, maintain authority to do business in all states, and collaborate with internal teams on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; insurance industry coursework or professional development designations are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, preferably in legal or compliance operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey regulatory guidance to colleagues and interact with state regulators.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and research ability.
• Highly organized with ability to track deadlines and manage multiple filing obligations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Surplus lines experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the collection and reporting of surplus lines tax allocation information from brokers.
• Responding to Department of Insurance complaints and inquiries, as well as other compliance-related consumer concerns.
• Ensuring that property casualty forms and endorsements meet applicable regulatory requirements in content, design, and implementation.
• Participating in special projects and contributing to broader compliance and operational initiatives as needed.

About the Role

As a Compliance Analyst, you'll serve as a key partner in supporting Kinsale's regulatory and compliance functions across property casualty insurance. You'll monitor an ever-changing regulatory environment, maintain our authority to do business across all jurisdictions, and work closely with internal teams and state regulators to ensure the company operates in full compliance. What You’ll Do

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000

This posted range is our best estimate; starting salary will be based on experience level. Additionally, the posted range reflects only base salary and does not include annual bonuses, benefits, or reimbursements.
