Job summary

Security First Bank and Security First Insurance in Rapid City, SD is seeking a customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to support clients with their insurance needs and service existing accounts.

Responsibilities include quoting, processing, and servicing policies, issuing certificates of insurance, and helping with renewals while building lasting customer relationships. A High School diploma is required; licensing is preferred, and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous insurance, customer service, sales, or related experience preferred.
• Active Property & Casualty license preferred, or the ability to obtain licensing.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to clients by answering questions, resolving concerns, and supporting policy-related needs.
• Quote, process, and service insurance policies for new and existing customers.
• Issue certificates of insurance and maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Support agency growth through referrals, relationship-building, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, agency procedures, and documentation requirements.
