How You'll Contribute to the Team:

The Insurance Claims Manager provides claim administration support for corporate and project-specific insurance programs including workers' compensation, general liability, auto, property, and environmental/pollution. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the insurance policy renewal process, as well as to manage insurance-related incidents which include gathering, submitting, and reporting claim information. Work requires adherence to industry guidelines and updating internal processes related to claims management. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, organizational skills, and high-level communication are essential to ensure accurate and timely claims submission to expedite approval and payment.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and maintain understanding of contracts to grasp insurance requirements for each project.
  • Manage documentation and submission process for all types of insurance claims.
  • Facilitate timely reporting and follow-up on incidents and claims, ensuring all phases are completed.
  • Review incident reports and support employees and leads through communication and documentation.
  • Monitor and communicate claim progress with stakeholders.
  • Track claims through all phases, proactively managing deadlines.
  • Project manage large claims, collaborating with stakeholders to expedite settlement.
  • Maintain and organize claim records, including expenses and settlements.
  • Assist with insurance policy renewal, gathering information and ensuring documentation is stored properly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support insurance premium payment processes and budgeting.
  • Represent the Insurance Risk Management team in meetings as needed.
  • Promote Corvias' culture, mission, and values, maintaining professionalism.
  • Evaluate and improve administrative and operational processes.
  • Recognize claim trends and alert relevant teams.
  • Stay current with insurance regulations and standards.
  • Travel as needed for large claims and incidents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Role Specific Requirements Include:
  • 5+ years' multi-line insurance experience, preferably in property management or insurance companies.
  • Knowledge of managing corporate insurance programs and interpreting policies.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals and handle stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
  • Successful track record in expediting large, complex claims.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise mature judgment.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, team-oriented, and deadline-focused.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; property management software knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle increased workload.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Benefits:

The salary range is estimated at $95,000 to $110,000 annually, with potential for a 10% incentive. Benefits include health plans, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, volunteer leave, insurance, disability coverage, parental and military leave, FSA, EAP, and tuition reimbursement.
